About Guitar Radar
Guitar Radar tracks what's actually happening in the guitar world — new gear, players, releases, the odd thing worth knowing about — and writes it up properly instead of just reposting a press release. It's an independent project: not owned by a manufacturer, a retailer, or another publication. Peter Luha publishes it.
Who writes and reviews this
Every article is credited to Guitar Radar Editorial — that's deliberate, not a placeholder. AI helps find and draft the initial write-up, useful for keeping up with an industry that puts out news from a hundred directions at once, but no single person personally writes each piece, so we don't attach an individual byline to something that isn't individually authored. What every published article does have is a named human reviewer — shown on the article itself as "Reviewed by" — who read it, checked it against its sources, and approved it before it went live. Right now that's Peter Luha; Guitar Radar is a one-person editorial operation.
Automation and human review
Nothing here goes live straight from a search result or an AI draft. Every story is read, source-checked, and approved by hand before it's published. That's not a policy we could quietly skip under deadline pressure: the database itself refuses to publish anything that hasn't gone through that step, regardless of how the draft was written. If an already-published article's facts change — a price confirmed, a detail corrected — the same rule applies: the update goes back through review before it's live again.
Sourcing
Sources are always linked at the bottom of the article — the primary one a story is actually built on, plus any others that added something. If something looks wrong — a broken link, a fact that doesn't hold up, a headline that overstates it — use "Report an issue" on the article, or write to guitarradar@peterluha.com.
Practice
Guitar Radar and Practice are separate projects from the same person — Practice is a free set of practice tools (metronome, ear training, backing tracks, and more), Guitar Radar is the news side. Neither one requires the other.
