Privacy Policy
Effective 15 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Guitar Radar (guitarradar.news) handles, why, and what rights you have. We collect as little as we can.
1. Who is responsible
The controller is Mgr. Peter Luha, trading as PL HOME, Gessayova 10, 851 03 Bratislava, Slovak Republic, company ID (IČO) 40230376, phone +421 908 700 299. For privacy questions or requests, use the contact form.
2. What we collect, why, and for how long
Visiting the site. Our hosting provider processes technical connection data, including your IP address, to deliver pages and keep the site secure. We count page views, referring sites, countries and device types with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not follow you across other websites. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running, securing and improving the site.
Guitar Week newsletter. If you subscribe, we store your e-mail address and the time of your sign-up and confirmation. You confirm by e-mail (double opt-in), and every issue has an unsubscribe link. To stop abuse we briefly keep a one-way hash of your IP address, deleted after about 48 hours. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We keep your address until you unsubscribe, and afterwards only marked as unsubscribed so that we do not write to you again.
News you send us. If you send news through the form, we store what you enter (your name, e-mail address, optional phone number, your relation to the news, the news and the links you give) and a one-way IP hash deleted after about 48 hours. We use your details only to check the news, follow up with you and tell you when it is published. They are never published. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a publication, together with your consent in the form. We delete a submission on request.
Messages to us. If you write to us through the contact form or by e-mail, we keep the message and your address to answer you and for our records. Legal basis: our legitimate interest and, where it applies, steps taken at your request before a contract.
3. Who processes data for us
- Vercel Inc. — hosting and Web Analytics.
- Supabase — the database.
- Resend — delivery of the newsletter and service e-mails.
- Our e-mail provider — for messages you send to us.
These providers act on our instructions. Some are based in, or process data in, countries outside the EEA, such as the United States; such transfers rely on safeguards like the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
4. Content from other websites
Articles show images, embedded videos and music players from the original sources and platforms such as YouTube, Spotify, Bandcamp, SoundCloud, Apple Music and Instagram. When such an item loads, your browser connects to that provider, which can see your IP address and may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. Links to other websites, including our Practice app, lead to services with their own privacy policies.
5. Cookies
Guitar Radar sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookie of our own is a sign-in cookie for the editor's administration area, which visitors never receive.
6. Your rights
You may ask us for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and a portable copy, and you may object to processing based on our legitimate interest or withdraw consent at any time. To unsubscribe from the newsletter, use the link in any issue. For anything else, use the contact form. You may also complain to the Slovak Office for Personal Data Protection (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky) or to the supervisory authority in your country.
7. Children and changes
Guitar Radar is not aimed at children under 16. We may update this policy; the effective date above shows the current version. See also our Terms of Use.
