How Guitar Radar works

Guitar Radar uses an automated editorial workflow to discover and follow news across a much wider part of the guitar world than one person could reasonably monitor manually.

Stories are based on original announcements from artists, manufacturers, labels, festivals and other first-hand sources whenever those are available. When an original source is unavailable, or when additional context is useful, Guitar Radar also uses established guitar and music publications.

Each published story links to the sources used to prepare it. Dates, names, product details and other factual claims are checked against the available source material. Guitar Radar does not claim hands-on testing, first-hand product experience or original reporting where that did not actually take place.

Guitar Radar is an independent publication created and edited by guitarist, composer and educator Peter Luha. Automation supports discovery, research and drafting; the publication's editorial rules, coverage priorities and correction standards are defined and overseen by its editor.

Have news from your band, brand or company? Send it through the form.

Guitar Radar covers news straight from the people who make it. If you are a guitarist or band, a manufacturer or builder, a software or plug-in developer, a distributor or dealer, a label, a PR agency or a festival organizer, the news form is the way to reach us. Please use the form instead of e-mail — it collects everything we need (official link, dates, price and availability, press photos) in one place, so we can check it and cover it faster.
