About Candlebox
Candlebox is a Seattle band formed in 1990 by singer and guitarist Kevin Martin, who grew up partly in San Antonio, and drummer Scott Mercado. The group first went by Uncle Duke, then added lead guitarist Peter Klett and bassist Bardi Martin and took the name Candlebox from a line in a Midnight Oil song. Klett is credited with writing most of the songs on the debut album.
The self-titled debut came out in 1993 and was certified quadruple platinum; it produced four singles, Change, You, Far Behind and Cover Me, and Far Behind reached the top 20. After trouble with its record company the band broke up in 2000 and reunited in 2006, and its most recent album, The Long Goodbye, came out in 2023.
I found no reliable gear details for Klett or the rest of the band. Guitar Radar follows Candlebox's releases and tours.
