New Found Glory

New Found Glory formed in Coral Springs, Florida in 1997 and became one of the best-known pop-punk bands from the state. Chad Gilbert, a former vocalist of Shai Hulud, played lead guitar and sang backing vocals. Steve Klein was the longtime rhythm guitarist and lyricist, from 1997 until he left in late 2013. The band and Gilbert's wife confirmed that Gilbert died on September 20, 2026, at the age of 45.

Uber Pro Audio's undated rig list for Gilbert shows Gibson Les Paul Customs in black, white and red with gold hardware, a Gibson ES-335 and SG, a Les Paul Double Cutaway and a Fender Telecaster, with Seymour Duncan JB and Custom pickups. Amps were Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier Solo heads and Mesa cabinets, a Stiletto Ace and a Rect-O-Verb, with a Boss noise gate pedal. He once sold guitars on eBay, including a red Gibson ES-335 used on the 2006 album Coming Home and a black SG used on tour around 2002 to 2004.

I found no reliable source for Steve Klein's rig. Guitar Radar follows the band's news and gear.
