About Shakra
Shakra is a Swiss hard rock and heavy metal band from Bern, formed in the second half of the 1990s; the sources give 1995 or 1997. Early records were the self-titled debut in 1998 and Moving Force in 1999, with opening slots for Great White and Uriah Heep. The breakthrough was Power Ride in 2001, after which singer Pete Wiedmer had to leave for health reasons and Mark Fox took over; Rising in 2003 charted in Germany and Switzerland.
After Everest in 2009 Fox left and John Prakesh sang on Back on Track (2011) and Powerplay (2013) before announcing his exit in April 2014, and Mark Fox returned in October 2015 for High Noon in 2016. Snakes and Ladders followed in 2017 and Mad World in 2020. The current lineup lists Fox, Thom Blunier, Thomas Muster, Dominik Pfister and Roger Tanner.
I found no reliable gear details for the band. Guitar Radar follows its releases.
