About Mr. Black
Mr. Black is a boutique effects pedal company based in Portland, Oregon, founded by Jack Deville. The Mr. Black line launched in July 2012 as a division of Jack Deville LTD, a company he set up in 2008.
The brand is best known for reverb pedals: the SuperMoon Modulated Reverberator and the Eterna shimmer reverb. The Eterna is described as a lush shimmer hall reverb, distinct from the brighter Eterna Gold, and a Japanese retailer lists an Eterna Gold Modified with Mix, Shimmer and Decay controls. The company has also put out limited editions, such as a stained-glass Eterna, and a collaboration with Soft Kill.
