AethisDSP has released Aethis 1.1.0, the first paid version of its guitar amp simulator after a free public beta. The plugin combines three neural amp models with cabinet simulation, a nine-band parametric EQ, pre- and post-amp effects and a polyphonic harmonizer. The harmonizer is the unusual part of the package: it is designed to shift full guitar audio rather than track only one note at a time, allowing chords, double-stops and fast lines to be harmonized. The release also supports custom impulse responses and runs as a plugin or standalone application, with Windows, macOS and Linux support reported by specialist sources. This is a small developer rather than a headline hardware launch, but it is exactly the kind of independent guitar-software release that can get lost in a mainstream news sweep.
