BOSS is celebrating the Katana amplifier line’s tenth anniversary with special versions of the Katana Artist Gen 3, Katana Artist Head Gen 3 and Katana Cabinet 212 Waza. Each keeps the regular model’s core specification but adds flame-maple veneer cabinetry under a high-gloss blue finish. Orders are restricted to Roland’s flagship stores in New York City, London and Tokyo. BOSS lists the combo at $1,299, the head at $999 and the cabinet at $999; European and Japanese prices are published as well. The company says more than 1.5 million Katana products have been sold since the series debuted in 2016.
Why it matters
This is a tightly limited, store-specific anniversary treatment of BOSS’s top Katana tier rather than a broad refresh, with unusual global pricing and availability constraints.
