TesseracT's Amos Williams gets a limited-run signature bass from Dingwall

Dingwall Guitars has released a signature Combustion bass built with TesseracT's Amos Williams, sold in strictly limited runs — 10 pieces of the 4-string at $3,265, and 25 pieces of a 5-string version at $3,365. Both use Dingwall's multi-scale, fanned-fret design running 34 to 37 inches, which keeps a low B string tight rather than floppy the way a standard 34-inch scale often leaves it; the 4-string ships tuned BEAD.
The body is alder with laminated stripes of flame maple, rosewood, and mahogany, built from offcuts too small to use for a full instrument on their own — meaning every Combustion in the run is genuinely one of a kind rather than just numbered. Electronics are three Dingwall FD3n neodymium pickups into an EMG B30EQ 3-band preamp with active/passive switching and a 4-position rotary pickup selector, aimed squarely at players who need a bass to stay clear and defined in a dense mix.

A run this small — 10 and 25 pieces — is a genuine limited edition, not a marketing label; it also signals how far Dingwall is willing to lean into the extended-range prog scene Williams and TesseracT come out of, rather than chasing a mass-market signature model.
