Graph Tech has extended its Un-Lock Nut range with two pre-slotted models for 7-string electric guitars. The replacements swap a conventional metal locking nut and clamps for triple-lubricated Black TUSQ XL, keeping the machine heads available for ordinary tuning changes while a double-locking bridge handles the tremolo end.

The two versions cover 12-inch Floyd-style and 16-inch Ibanez-style radii. Graph Tech says the extended slot ramps distribute string stress more evenly, individual string heights remain adjustable during fitting, and installation does not require permanent modification. Both models are available now at $24.95 each.

Why it matters

Alternate tunings and emergency string changes are awkward on a clamped 7-string. These models carry Graph Tech’s simpler nut concept into the extended-range market without asking players to abandon a double-locking bridge.
