Tim Henson's nylon-string signature line just got bigger. Ibanez added four models to the TOD series — TOD100FMN, TOD100N, TOD20FMN, and TOD10N — in a handful of new finishes, silver and pink among them, plus a matching signature gig bag.
It's a strange instrument to hang a shred guitarist's name on: Henson built his reputation on razor-precise electric playing in Polyphia, not nylon strings. But Ibanez bet his audience would follow him into a completely different kind of guitar when the line launched, and expanding it this fast is a decent sign that bet worked.
Why it matters
Betting that a fanbase built on electric shred playing would follow its guy into nylon strings was a real gamble — growing the line this quickly suggests it paid off.
