PRS gives The Warning's Dany Villarreal her first signature guitar, the Astryx
A 200-piece Custom 24 in a sunset-style "Ocaso" finish, with a single sun inlay in place of PRS's usual birds.

PRS announced the Dany Villarreal Astryx on August 25, a limited run of 200 built on the Custom 24 platform. Villarreal is the guitarist and co-founder of Monterrey trio The Warning, whose fifth album, Everything's Falling, arrives the same week.
The core recipe is familiar Custom 24: figured maple 10-Top over mahogany, 25-inch scale, Pattern Thin neck, Gen III tremolo and Phase III locking tuners, with a pair of PRS DMO humbuckers. The changes are what make it hers. The fretboard is ebony rather than rosewood, and instead of PRS's bird inlays there is one "Solecito" sun at the 12th fret, a nod to her Mexican heritage. The Ocaso finish runs from deep purple through orange to yellow. Her signature is on the truss-rod cover, and every guitar ships with a signed backplate.
US price is around $5,800 (roughly 5,799 pounds / 6,699 euros), sold through PRS dealers including Sweetwater and Thomann.
Why it matters
The Warning has become one of the more visible young rock bands of the past few years, and a 200-only PRS signature is a real vote of confidence, plus a rare case of PRS dropping its bird inlays entirely.
