U2 will return to stadiums in 2027 with The Greatest Show on Earth World Tour. The first six dates form three two-night runs: Mexico City on February 23 and 26, São Paulo on March 10 and 12, and Buenos Aires on March 23 and 25. Beck will support all six Latin American shows.

The itinerary supports U2's forthcoming 16th studio album, *Carnaval De Luz*, and arrives with a new single also titled “The Greatest Show on Earth.” U2 co-wrote the track with Brian Eno, and Anton Corbijn directed its desert-shot video. The band says additional dates for Europe and North America will be announced, with a return to Ireland also being developed.

Subscriber presales begin October 19. General sales are scheduled for October 22 in São Paulo and Buenos Aires and October 23 in Mexico City. The announced dates are the band's first stadium concerts since the Joshua Tree tour finished in Mumbai in December 2019; in between, U2 staged its 40-show Las Vegas Sphere residency.

The guitar question is how the Edge's tightly controlled, detail-heavy approach will scale into a new stadium production after the highly specialized Sphere format. The official announcement promises a catalogue-wide set and describes “unreasonable guitar, bass and drums,” while the new single places Eno back in U2's creative orbit. That gives the tour a stronger musical premise than a routine greatest-hits stadium return.

Why it matters

It marks U2's first stadium run in more than seven years and pairs the live return with new music rather than a catalogue-only campaign.
