About Dirty Loops
Dirty Loops is a Stockholm trio of keyboardist and lead singer Jonah Nilsson, bassist Henrik Linder and drummer Aron Mellergård. They met at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and formed the band in 2008, after which all three worked as session musicians. Their breakthrough came from YouTube covers: a 2010 or 2011 cover of Lady Gaga's Just Dance passed 100,000 views, and a twisted take on Justin Bieber's Baby followed. Their manager Andreas Carlsson helped them sign with producer David Foster and Verve.
The debut album Loopified came in 2014, followed by Phoenix in 2020 and Turbo in 2021, the latter with Cory Wong of Vulfpeck among its guests. Their Bieber connection also includes Roller Coaster on their debut album, written by Bieber and others.
For guitarists the band is mostly interesting for Linder's bass playing and gear, which is covered in his own profile on Guitar Radar.
