About Greta Van Fleet
Greta Van Fleet is a rock band formed in Frankenmuth, Michigan, in 2012, built around the Kiszka brothers: twins Josh (vocals) and Jake (guitar), and Sam (bass and keyboards), with Danny Wagner on drums. The band signed to Lava Records in 2017, released the EP Black Smoke Rising that April, and topped the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart with Highway Tune. Its debut album From the Fires won the 2019 Grammy Award for Best Rock Album.
Jake Kiszka is a vintage Gibson player. His main guitar is a 1961 Gibson Les Paul SG Standard he calls "Beloved", which he found on the road when a shop owner let him pay it off later. Gibson has since built a limited signature SG Standard based on it, made in Nashville. Premier Guitar's 2021 rig rundown also shows a second, nearly stock 1961 Les Paul/SG as a backup and a 1962 reissue, all strung with Cleartone .010-.046 sets. Because his amp has no reverb channel, he uses an Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail Nano pedal for reverb.
