Greta Van Fleet released ‘Tear It Down’ on September 18 as the latest preview of their fifth studio album, Palace for the People, due October 9 through Republic Records. The track follows ‘Play Your Games’ and ‘Saw You Stand’.
The new song puts a prominent guitar riff at the center of an arrangement built around tension, rebuilding and release. The album was written in a remote Tennessee cabin and recorded there in spring 2026, with the band co-producing alongside Mike Elizondo.
For guitar listeners, the single is a useful new snapshot of where the Kiszka brothers are taking the band’s sound before the full record lands rather than just another tour-cycle teaser.
