About Trivium
Trivium is a Florida metal band whose two guitarists, Matt Heafy and Corey Beaulieu, both have signature gear. Heafy's main signature is an Epiphone Les Paul Custom, introduced as limited editions in 2013 in six- and seven-string versions with EMG 85/81 and EMG 707/81-7 pickups; Epiphone later added a Matt Heafy Les Paul Custom Origins seven-string with Fishman Fluence pickups, and Heafy has moved from EMGs to Fishman Fluence Moderns. He also had a signature guitar built on a Dean ML base.
Beaulieu plays Jackson Corey Beaulieu USA signature guitars, the KV6 and KV7 in six- and seven-string versions, with Seymour Duncan Blackout pickups and Floyd Rose tremolos. Earlier in his career he was a Dean artist and played the Dean Dime Razorback V in various finishes.
Both use Kemper profiling amps, though the band has long favored 5150-style amps and Heafy has used a Peavey 6505. Premier Guitar's 2022 rig rundown noted a big move back to 5150s. Both use Dunlop strings developed with Dunlop's String Lab, and Heafy endorses Jazz III picks.
