Trivium have announced their 11th studio album, Crown In The Grave, for release on November 20 through Roadrunner Records. The band introduced it with the title track and an official video inspired by Japanese cinema from the 1950s through the 1970s, including Akira Kurosawa’s Throne of Blood.
The record is Trivium’s first full-length with drummer Alex Rudinger and the first album the band made at The Hangar, its self-built studio in Orlando. Bassist Paolo Gregoletto says the group aimed for a middle ground between repeating familiar moves and changing direction for its own sake, using a darker, ghostly visual and lyrical world as a guide.
The title track is now available as a verified Spotify release as well as an official video. Crown In The Grave follows 2021’s In The Court Of The Dragon and the 2025 Struck Dead EP, giving the band a full-album return after five years while setting up its forthcoming North American and European touring cycle.

Why it matters
The album brings a new drummer into Trivium’s full-length catalogue and shows how the band is using its own studio to frame a fresh visual and musical chapter without abandoning its established guitar-heavy identity.
