About Victor Smolski
Victor Smolski is a guitarist who became known with the German band Rage and now leads the metal project Almanac. ESP announced in 2024 that he had joined its artist roster, and he has said it gives him the sound and handling he wants in the studio and live; he plays a mix of LTD, E-II and ESP models.
An earlier signature instrument came from Yamaha: a Yamaha RGX420DZII with a Victor Smolski fan package, an alder body, a maple bolt-on neck, a Floyd Rose licensed double-locking bridge and EMG H4A and H4 pickups. A Guitar Monkey Speedster VS-1 Smolski pick set, 1.6 mm thick, was also developed with him.
Almanac's albums include Kingslayer. Guitar Radar follows his ESP gear and band news.
