About Two Notes

Two Notes Audio Engineering is a French maker of speaker simulators and load boxes, operating under the Orosys company name from Vendargues near Montpellier. Retailers give 2008 as its start while a French article marking 15 years of the brand points closer to 2011. The company says its products bring tools once reserved for studio and live sound professionals to guitarists and bassists, and its president, Guillaume Pille, is an electronics researcher.

The Torpedo range is its best-known line. The Torpedo Captor is a load box and speaker simulator that takes an analog approach, without digital modeling or LCD screens, to feed a tube amp's signal to a mixer or DAW without microphones. The Captor X adds a reactive load, power soak and impulse-response loader and handles up to 100 watts RMS, and a limited Captor X SE was released for the brand's 15th anniversary. The company also sells speaker-simulation plug-ins.

Guitar Radar follows Two Notes' new Torpedo products and software.
