Behringer has relaunched its Klon-style transparent overdrive as the Zentara family. The range consists of full-size Zentara and compact Zentara Mini pedals, with gold and silver versions of each; Behringer’s product pages describe the same clean-boost-to-saturation brief across the line.

The full-size silver model uses a dual-potentiometer gain control and soft-clipping germanium diodes, while the Mini focuses on the same dynamic response in a smaller enclosure. Guitar World reports no tonal difference between the sizes and says retailers are listing all four versions at $75.90.

The new name and four-model presentation follow the earlier Centaur/Centara controversy and lawsuit, but the practical story for players is simpler: an aggressively priced transparent overdrive is back in two pedalboard footprints and two finishes.

Why it matters

Behringer is turning a legally fraught clone into a broader four-SKU product family, keeping the price below $76 while adding a mini format for crowded pedalboards.
