Blackstar has turned its compact practice platform into a complete wireless setup with the Beam Mini Wireless Rig. The US-store bundle combines the Beam Mini stereo amp, an Airwire i58 instrument wireless system, the new Beam Control foot controller and a fitted carry case. Blackstar lists the package at $459.99 and as available; the Beam Control is also sold separately for $74.99.

The controller has three operating modes. Patch mode recalls five Beam presets, FX mode switches assigned effects, and Custom mode lets players map functions in Blackstar’s app. An expression-pedal input expands the control options, while USB-C charging and a quoted 12-hour battery life keep the board free of another permanent power lead.

Beam Mini itself carries more than 35 effects, component-level amp modelling, Super Wide Stereo playback and USB recording. Its recent platform additions include Neural Amp Modeler A2 support through TONE3000 and Moises-powered stem separation. MusicRadar notes that the new bundle is aimed at making those software-heavy features usable without reaching for a phone between phrases.

The interesting part is the way Blackstar has joined the usually separate practice-amp, wireless and foot-control purchases into one portable system. It is still a home-sized rig, but the dedicated controller makes patches and effects feel closer to a small live pedalboard than a desktop speaker.

Why it matters

Compact practice amps are increasingly becoming full guitar platforms. Blackstar’s bundle adds the missing physical control and wireless link without asking players to assemble the system piece by piece.
