Fender bottles John Osborne's Telecaster tone in a $150 signature pickup set
The Brothers Osborne guitarist gets a bright, punchy Tele set with Alnico 5 beveled magnets and an open-coil neck unit.

Fender has released a signature Telecaster pickup set built with John Osborne of Brothers Osborne. The set is voiced for clarity and cut rather than vintage warmth, using Alnico 5 beveled magnets and Formvar-coated wire for extra high-end response. The neck pickup is left open-coil for more top-end air, and both units get flush-mount polepieces for a vintage-style feel under the strings.
Specs put the neck pickup at 6.26k with 2.58H of inductance and the bridge at 8.2k and 4.6H, with fibre bobbins and cloth-covered lead wire. Mounting hardware is included.
Street price is $149.99, sold through Fender.com and dealers including Sweetwater.
Why it matters
Osborne is one of the more visible modern Telecaster players in country and roots music, and a direct-from-Fender drop-in set gives players a straightforward way to chase that specific bright, aggressive Tele voice.
