One Control released the LWP Series Basilisk Kit on September 4, a solder-free DIY version of its compact MIDI controller. The official product page lists simultaneous transmission of five program-change and five control-change messages, separate MIDI-channel assignment and storage for as many as 128 presets across 64 banks.
The kit adds two MIDI outputs plus MIDI input for remote access, while keeping the build deliberately approachable: One Control says no soldering is required. At ¥14,300, it is an unusual middle ground between a finished pedalboard controller and a full electronics project.
Why it matters
MIDI switching is often powerful but opaque. A solder-free controller kit gives technically curious guitarists a way to build a genuinely capable pedalboard brain without starting from raw components.
