Positive Grid brings Spark amp modeling, effects and a looper to the Spark PEDAL

Positive Grid has introduced Spark PEDAL, a compact floor unit that puts the company’s Spark amp and effects platform into a pedalboard-friendly format. The unit combines amp modeling, effects and a built-in 60-second looper, while also supporting ToneCloud presets and Spark’s app-based tone tools.

The hardware is designed to work as a direct-to-PA rig, an effects processor in front of an existing amp, or a USB audio interface. Positive Grid lists 33 amp models, 43 effects and access to more than 100,000 ToneCloud tones, with MIDI, expression-pedal support and a rechargeable battery rated for up to seven hours.

For players who already use Spark at home, the more interesting part is portability: the same ecosystem can now move onto a live pedalboard without requiring one of the Spark combo amps.
