VOX has launched the AC MINI, a 10-watt compact practice amp intended to bring some of the response and control simplicity of the AC family into a genuinely small format. The core signal path uses VOX's newly developed all-analog Dynamic Response Circuit, created by the team behind the AC Hand-Wired Series, while reverb is handled digitally.
The amp drives a single three-inch VOX speaker in a bass-reflex wood cabinet and includes a boost switch for pushing the preamp harder. An aux input and headphone output cover the obvious home-practice jobs. At 221 × 125 × 180 mm and 1.8 kg, this is very much a desktop-sized AC interpretation rather than a small gigging combo.
The US price is $99.99.

Why it matters
Small practice amps are often digital modelers; VOX is instead leaning on a simple analog response circuit and classic AC-style interaction at an unusually low price.
