Masters of the Telecaster returns this fall with an all-star faculty
Brent Mason, Johnny Hiland, Cindy Cashdollar, and eight other Telecaster specialists teach a five-day camp in the Catskills starting September 28.

Music Masters Collective is running its Masters of the Telecaster camp again this year, September 28 through October 2 at the Full Moon Resort in New York's Catskill Mountains. The five-day program is built entirely around one guitar: how to get a Telecaster to cover country, rock, blues, and jazz territory, taught through daily masterclasses, technical exercises, and jam sessions rather than lecture-style teaching.
The faculty is a genuine cross-section of players who've built careers on the instrument: session veteran Brent Mason, Daniel Donato, Redd Volkaert, Johnny Hiland, Larry Campbell, G.E. Smith, Duke Levine, Bill Kirchen, Carolyn Wonderland, and steel/slide specialist Cindy Cashdollar, with Jim Weider and Joel Harrison co-producing. Registration runs through Tixr, with lodging and meal packages bundled in, and Music Masters Collective — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit — offers scholarships funded entirely by outside donations.
Why it matters
A week spent watching Brent Mason and Cindy Cashdollar break down technique in the same room is rare access — camps built around a single guitar model, taught by players who've each defined a different way of using it, don't come around often.
