The Mozarteum International Guitar Festival has reached a practical deadline for players and builders: applications for its 2026 masterclasses and guitar-maker exhibition close September 15. The festival itself takes place December 3–5 in Salzburg and combines concerts, an international competition, masterclasses, workshops and a lutherie exhibition.
The masterclass programme offers 18 places and three individual lessons, with teachers including Lorenzo Micheli, Judicaël Perroy, Marco Tamayo, Margarita Escarpa and Andrea De Vitis. The guitar-maker exhibition is limited to eight registrations, giving selected builders space in the Mozarteum foyer during all three festival days.
The competition follows a later timetable: its submission deadline is October 15, with the live final on December 5. That leaves today's deadline specifically relevant to players seeking masterclass places and luthiers wanting to exhibit.
