The 21st International Guitar Fest Nikšić is accepting entries for its solo classical-guitar PRO competition until November 13. The category has no age limit and is open internationally, with a €120 registration fee.
The first stage will be held online on November 21. Applicants must submit a single continuous video in at least 720p, with the performer clearly visible and no edits, cuts or prerecorded audio. The programme may run up to 15 minutes and must contain at least two works from different periods, styles and characters, performed from memory.
Finalists move to a live round in the Radio-Television Nikšić studio on December 13, broadcast by TV Nikšić and streamed through the festival’s channels. Their final programme may last up to 25 minutes, must also be memorised and cannot repeat repertoire from the online stage. Finalists are responsible for their own travel and accommodation.
First prize is a Dimitris Piperidis concert guitar valued at €4,000. Second prize combines €1,000 with free participation at the 2027 Transylvania International Guitar Festival; third prize offers €500 and free entry to the 2027 Montenegro competition. For classical guitarists planning an application, the immediate task is assembling the form, passport copy, fee confirmation and a compliant performance video before the deadline.
Why it matters
The competition offers an international route from an online audition to a televised live final, with a concert instrument and cash prizes attached to a near-term deadline.
