Canadian jazz guitarist Strat Andriotis has released The Wolf Sleeps Alone, with his official site listing September 4 as the worldwide release date. The album is a trio recording with Alex Karcza on drums and Vince Di Francesco on bass, built from nine original compositions.
Andriotis describes the record as progressive modern jazz with some more traditional jazz elements, continuing a catalog that has moved freely between jazz, rock and classical influences. It is exactly the kind of independent guitar release that can disappear beneath bigger rock and gear headlines despite being directly relevant to players following contemporary jazz guitar.
