Hollow Front reunite with guitarist/vocalist Dakota Alvarez ahead of new single

Hollow Front have officially brought guitarist and vocalist Dakota Alvarez back into the band. The reunion was announced September 14, three years after Alvarez left the Michigan metalcore group, and gives the band a returning voice and guitar presence for its next chapter.
The first release tied to the reunion is ‘So Long To Yesterday’, due September 18 with an official music video. Hollow Front say it is their first new song featuring Alvarez since his return and the first glimpse of material the band has been building over the past year.
For a band whose recent history has included personnel changes, Alvarez's return is more than a guest spot: the announcement explicitly describes him as officially back in Hollow Front.
Why it matters
A returning guitarist/vocalist can materially reshape a band's writing and live identity, and this reunion immediately leads into new music rather than functioning as a nostalgia-only announcement.
