Sixteen-year-old guitarist Nene Royal moved from a support slot to Avenged Sevenfold's main set at Singapore Indoor Stadium on October 13, guesting on “Bat Country” and “Unholy Confessions.” The appearance came only weeks after the Thai player won America's Got Talent with guitar-led arrangements of songs including “Black Hole Sun,” “Zombie” and “Seven Nation Army.”

Royal's own opening set drew on the repertoire that built her television audience, adding Muse, Rage Against the Machine and System of a Down material. Onstage with Avenged Sevenfold she again used the vintage Ibanez MC300 closely associated with her recent performances. Audience-shot video documents both guest spots, including her harmonized guitar part and exchanges with Synyster Gates.

The moment is significant because it turns a viral competition breakthrough into a credible arena-stage transition. Royal was not simply brought out for a photo or a ceremonial cameo: she played two established Avenged Sevenfold songs in the working band arrangement, in front of the audience for her first support show with the group.
