PRS Guitars has promoted Thai guitarist Tanapol “Not” Srikanjana from its Pulse Artist programme to PRS Official Artist status. The change takes effect in November and places the Retrospect guitarist in the company’s main endorsement roster after his year in the 2026 Pulse class.
Srikanjana is a key member of Retrospect, one of Thailand’s established rock and metal bands. PRS highlights his combination of heavy riffs, melodic phrasing and technical precision, as well as the band’s long domestic following and its 2009 appearance at Wacken Open Air in Germany. The company’s accompanying artist feature also credits his work as a performer and an influence on younger Thai guitarists.
The promotion arrives alongside PRS’s 2027 Pulse Artist announcement. More than 450 people applied; 135 guitarists from 30 countries were selected. Pulse members receive dealer-based discounts, editorial and social exposure, and a network intended to help emerging players build professional connections. Srikanjana’s move is the clearest example this year of that development route leading into a deeper brand relationship.
For an international artist programme, the important signal is mobility rather than list size. Elevating a Thai metal guitarist to the official roster gives the initiative a visible path beyond its entry tier and recognises a regional career that has already reached major stages.
Why it matters
Global endorsement programmes matter when they create durable opportunities outside the usual US and UK pipeline. Srikanjana’s promotion gives PRS’s large Pulse roster a concrete progression story.
