About Matteo Mancuso
Matteo Mancuso is an Italian guitarist who has drawn attention for playing fast, complex lines on electric guitar using only his fingers, without a pick, in a style that blends jazz, blues, rock and progressive influences. He has been praised by players such as Steve Vai and Joe Bonamassa.
His instrument is the Yamaha Revstar, which he discovered in 2017 and now plays most of the time. Yamaha has built a production version of his custom Revstar, the RS20MM: a chambered body with a carbon-reinforced neck, a vintage sunburst flame-maple top, 22 frets on a 24.75-inch scale, DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary pickups and a push/pull "Focus Switch" on top of the five-position selector. It is only the second widely available artist signature in the Revstar line.
