About Nita Strauss
Nita Strauss is an American guitarist best known for playing in Alice Cooper's band and for her solo work. She plays Ibanez, with her own signature model, the JIVA10: a solid nyatoh body with a quilted maple top, a maple and purpleheart neck, an ebony fretboard and an Edge Zero II tremolo, loaded with her DiMarzio Pandemonium humbuckers. Earlier in her career, an Ibanez RG770 DX was a common sight.
Her rig is largely digital: a Boss GT-1000 handles effects and amp sounds live and runs straight into the front-of-house system, so there is no traditional amp on stage, and in the studio she uses a Kemper Profiler with a profile built from the preamp of a Rocktron processor she used for years.
