Nita Strauss and drummer Josh Villalta performed a five-minute guitar medley during the Los Angeles Rams’ Salute to Service halftime show at SoFi Stadium on November 1. The set opened with Metallica’s For Whom the Bell Tolls and moved through Iron Maiden’s The Trooper, Kenny Loggins’ Danger Zone, Foo Fighters’ My Hero and Godsmack’s Awake. Strauss also folded in Steve Stevens’ Top Gun theme licks before closing with Queen’s We Will Rock You and Metallica’s Sad But True.
The performance was built as a continuous stadium arrangement rather than a sequence of complete songs, with Strauss carrying the melodic hooks and lead-guitar transitions while Villalta drove the medley from a compact drum setup. It was her second NFL halftime appearance in a matter of weeks and one of her first highly visible performances after a seven-month maternity break. Their newborn son Max watched from the stadium, making the appearance a family milestone as well as a professional return.
The full performance is available from the event’s official video upload, and the current SoFi Stadium photography clearly depicts the November 1 Rams show. Strauss resumes touring with Alice Cooper on November 6 and has further solo dates scheduled, so the halftime set functions as a bridge from her leave back to a full live calendar. For guitar viewers, the tightly arranged medley is also a concise demonstration of how familiar riffs can be linked for a stadium audience without losing their identities.

Why it matters
The performance marks Strauss’s visible return to a full live schedule and turns a broad cross-section of classic guitar hooks into a compact, watchable stadium arrangement.
