Sleep Token

Sleep Token is a masked, anonymous British band whose members are known by Roman numerals and titles, and whose guitar sound is largely the work of the guitarist known as IV; the vocalist is Vessel and the drummer is II. IV is a Jackson player and favors eight-string and baritone guitars: for eight-string songs he has used a multi-scale Jackson Soloist and an extended-scale Ibanez M8M, and for the band's more textured newer material a six-string Jackson Misha Mansoor So-Cal signature.

His custom 30-inch, EverTune-equipped single-cut baritone from Jackson's Custom Shop became the basis for his first signature model, the Jackson Pro Plus Series Monarkh SC; Jackson and Charvel have launched the band's first signature guitars. Live, the tone comes from a Neural DSP Quad Cortex with a main and a spare unit kept offstage and changed via MIDI. The main sounds are a Revv Generator head and Mesa cabinet that IV captured onto the Quad Cortex in the studio, running two amps left and right, and before that he used a Kemper Profiler.

A recent pedal rack included an Electro-Harmonix POG 3, a Revv G3 Purple Channel, a Spline Laboratories Cathedral and a Tallon Electric The Noise Pedal. Clean tones are not documented, since the band releases few details about its gear.
