Fender's Jackson and Charvel brands announced signature models for Sleep Token on August 26, the first official gear tie-in for the masked British band. The guitar is the Jackson Pro Plus Signature Sleep Token IV Monarkh SC; the bass is the Charvel Sleep Token III Signature Pro-Mod San Dimas Bass V.
The Monarkh runs a 30-inch scale with an EverTune bridge and custom saddles, built to stay in tune when dropped a full octave. It has a bound mahogany body with quilt maple veneer, a caramelized maple set neck, a pale moon ebony board and direct-mount Fishman Fluence Open Core Classic humbuckers. It lists at $2,199.99.
The bass is a five-string with a 34.4 to 35.5-inch multi-scale fanned-fret layout, a poplar body, caramelized maple neck, custom red Fishman Fluence soap-bar pickups and a two-band EQ. It is $1,599.99. Both sit in the mid-priced import lines rather than the custom shop, so they are built to actually move units.

Why it matters
Sleep Token went from anonymous cult act to arena headliner in a hurry, and these are the first instruments cut to their spec, a useful starting point for anyone chasing that clean-to-crushing, down-tuned sound.
