Aguilar’s DB 700 brings the front-end architecture of the company’s DB 751 into a much lighter 11.2-pound rackmount head. Two 12AX7 tubes feed a 700-watt Class D power section, with a three-band EQ plus Deep and Bright switches for quick broad-stroke shaping.

The rear panel moves the design beyond a simple lightweight remake. USB-C connects to Aguilar’s Cabinet Suite for loading cabinet impulse responses, while dual XLR outputs, an effects loop, tuner output, aux input and headphone monitoring cover stage, direct and silent-practice use. The amp accepts loads down to 2.67 ohms and is available at $2,499.99.

Why it matters

It gives touring bassists a substantially lighter route to Aguilar's flagship-style tube response without giving up modern direct-output and IR workflows.
