Fender Custom Shop Recreates George Harrison's 1967 Fender Bass VI
The $9,500 limited run copies the six-string bass Harrison used during the Beatles' later Abbey Road sessions.

Fender's Custom Shop announced a limited-edition recreation of George Harrison's 1967 Bass VI on August 25. Harrison acquired the original that year and used it through the Beatles' Abbey Road-era work, where the Bass VI's baritone-guitar range turned up on a number of tracks.
The Corona team built the reissue to match: a two-piece alder body, a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays, a 30-inch scale, three hand-wound Jaguar single-coils with individual slide switches, and a vintage-style bridge with floating vibrato. It comes in a Bleached 3-Color Sunburst with Relic aging meant to suggest decades of use, and ships with a hardshell case, strap, and certificate of authenticity.
The price is $9,500 in the US and £8,599 in the UK. Custom Shop director Chase Paul said the instrument "holds a unique place in Fender history." It's a one-time run offered mainly to top-tier dealers rather than a standing catalog model.
