Ibanez and Dragon Ball Z have announced a broad instrument and effects collection scheduled to reach authorized dealers worldwide from early 2027. The centerpiece is a Japan-made RG carrying Son Goku and Son Gohan artwork across the body, supplied with a matching case, certificate, strap and picks. It turns the collaboration into a complete collector package rather than a simple logo treatment.
The range extends well beyond that flagship. Hoshino Gakki says it will include more than ten products spanning electric guitar, electric bass, concert ukulele and piccolo guitar formats, alongside accessories and a Dragon Ball Z version of the TS808 Tube Screamer. Official imagery shows the pedal in an orange-and-blue finish with series graphics, while other instruments use character artwork and iconography from the anime.
Guitar World's early breakdown confirms that the regular-production side is intended to cover several price and instrument categories, while the made-in-Japan RG sits at the top of the range. That matters because the collaboration is being treated as a coordinated family of playable products, not a single short-run display piece. Exact model numbers, individual prices and territory-by-territory arrival dates have not yet been published.
The collection should appeal to players who want recognizable pop-culture design without leaving established Ibanez platforms. The real test will come when Ibanez publishes full specifications and dealer listings: those will show which pickups, neck constructions and hardware choices distinguish each model. For now, the official announcement establishes the scope, the lead RG package and the early-2027 global rollout.

Why it matters
It is a rare franchise collaboration built across several playable formats and a core Ibanez pedal, with a high-end Japan-made RG anchoring the range.
