StewMac has teamed with Skid Row guitarist Scotti Hill on the Hooligan Boost Pedal Kit, a beginner-friendly build based on the character of a Dallas Rangemaster. Its eight-position Range control moves the emphasis from focused treble bite toward fuller-frequency boost, while the Volume control can push the circuit from a lift in level into overdrive.
The $109.99 kit is offered with either a bare enclosure or a white enclosure carrying Hill's Hooligan graphic. StewMac says the package includes the parts, hardware and step-by-step instructions needed for a first pedal project, turning a classic boost idea into a hands-on entry point for players who want to learn how stompboxes go together.

Why it matters
It is both a practical new boost and an accessible DIY project tied to a recognizable hard-rock player, with enough control range to move beyond a one-sound vintage clone.
