Cesar Gueikian is stepping down as Gibson's President and CEO effective July 31, 2026, after 13 years with the company, transitioning instead to a strategic advisor role on Gibson's board while staying on as the company's global artist ambassador. Anne Rohosy, currently Gibson's Chief Commercial Officer, becomes interim President and CEO while the board runs a search for a permanent replacement.
Rohosy joined Gibson in 2021 and was promoted to Chief Commercial Officer in 2025 after previously serving as the company's Chief Human Resources and Impact Officer and as Managing Director of Gibson Amplifiers. She brings more than 30 years at companies including Levi Strauss and Nike, with prior President and EVP roles running multi-billion-dollar businesses. "Gibson is part of my DNA," Gueikian said of the move. "It has been the honor of my life to help lead Gibson."
Why it matters
Gueikian is widely credited with pulling Gibson back from its 2018 bankruptcy into a genuinely healthy business again — how much of that turnaround holds under new leadership, even with him staying on as an advisor, is the real story here.
