Luxembourg-based Brazilian guitarist and singer Lucas Ferraz has released *Riffs & Love*, an 11-track album built around the tension between heavy guitar music and emotionally direct writing. Released on November 7, it is Ferraz’s second solo studio album and follows the 2023 debut *Demons in My Head*, the 2025 *LOVE* EP and a live album issued earlier in 2026.
Ferraz describes the record’s core language as aggressive guitars colliding with stories about love, desire, loss, anger and vulnerability. The music draws on hard rock, grunge and punk energy without treating melody as an afterthought. Singles “On Fire” and “I’m Insane” established that direction before the album arrived; the former widened the palette with trumpet, trombone and baritone saxophone alongside the guitar-driven foundation.
The album was produced by Ferraz with longtime collaborator Tadeu Mascarenhas, with work moving between Salvador, Bahia, and Luxembourg. Core sessions took place at Casa das Máquinas in Salvador, while additional vocals and guitars were recorded in Ferraz’s private studio. Martin Mendonça plays guitar, Larriri Vasconcelos bass, Alan Abreu drums and Mascarenhas keyboards. Ferraz handles vocals and guitars.
That cross-Atlantic process gives the album a concrete Brazilian-Luxembourgish identity rather than a generic international label. It also arrives after a busy live stretch that included Ferraz supporting Lenny Kravitz at LuxExpo Open Air. A November 14 release concert at Opderschmelz in Dudelange will bring the full-band version of the record to the stage, with an acoustic passage planned inside the set.

Why it matters
Riffs & Love is a current guitar-centered release from a cross-border European scene that larger English-language guitar outlets rarely cover, and its verified album player makes it ready for readers to hear immediately.
