Silesian Guitar Autumn names second-round players for the Jan Edmund Jurkowski competition
The September 18 list moves the international field from video preliminaries to live auditions in Tychy on October 20–21, ahead of an orchestral final on October 24.

Silesian Guitar Autumn published the list of players advancing to the second round of the 20th International Jan Edmund Jurkowski Guitar Competition on September 18, after a jury chaired by Marcin Dylla reviewed the first-stage entries. The competition is part of the festival's 40th-anniversary edition, scheduled for October 17–24 in Tychy, Poland.
The live auditions take place October 20–21 at the Feliks Rybicki Music School Complex, with a field that includes players from Poland, Croatia, Colombia, Ukraine, Italy, Great Britain and Hungary. The finalists then play with the AUKSO Chamber Orchestra on October 24. The competition carries a €15,000 prize pool, and the wider festival spans classical guitar, jazz and flamenco with concerts, masterclasses, lectures and exhibitions.
Why it matters
This is a concrete international classical-guitar competition result: the preliminary field has been cut to the players who will perform live in one of Central Europe's established guitar-festival competitions.
