About Joe Satriani
Joe Satriani is an American instrumental rock guitarist and one of the best-known Ibanez artists. His first signature model, the JS1, arrived in 1988, a modified version of Ibanez's 540 Radius with DiMarzio pickups, a double-locking tremolo and a push-pull high-pass filter in the master volume. He currently favors the JS2400, and often plays the JS2410, a variant in Muscle Car Orange, on tour and with Chickenfoot.
For years he was a Peavey artist with the JSX Signature head, then moved to Marshall in 2010, using modified JVM410HJS signature heads with a custom noise gate. The Vox Satchurator pedal is central to his sound, alongside Vox wah and delay pedals, a DigiTech Whammy and a Sustainiac pickup system. He plays D'Addario .010-.046 strings tuned to E flat.
