Molly Tuttle has released So Long Little Miss Sunshine (Acoustic EP) through Nonesuch Records. The label lists September 4 as the release date and describes the five-track set as a companion to her Grammy-nominated album of the same name.
Recorded with Vanessa McGowan and Mary Meyer and produced by Tuttle with Steve Berns, the EP places Tuttle on vocals and acoustic guitar throughout. Mandolin, fiddle, bass and backing vocals support arrangements designed to bring her guitar playing and songwriting closer to the foreground.
Nonesuch characterizes the wider project as moving through pop, country and rock while retaining Tuttle’s flat-picking identity. The acoustic edition therefore works less like a conventional bonus release and more like a focused guitar-led second view of the material.

Why it matters
