Mathias Lattin joins Kingfish’s Red Zero Records and releases Cadillac Assembly Line

Christone “Kingfish” Ingram has signed Houston guitarist Mathias Lattin to Red Zero Records, positioning the 24-year-old as one of the label’s young blues voices. Guitar World reports that Lattin is marking the deal with Cadillac Assembly Line, a track that keeps clean, expressive blues guitar at the center while bringing in R&B-informed production.

Lattin already has extensive live experience and has shared stages with players including Buddy Guy, Joe Bonamassa and Eric Gales. The signing is interesting beyond the endorsement itself: Kingfish is using his own label to back a player who treats blues as a foundation rather than a museum piece, which makes the story as much about where the style may be heading as about a new contract.
