MESA/Boogie brings the 90s Triple Rectifier Standard back to the catalog
The 150-watt two-channel Rectifier returns in the black-chassis, chrome-knob and Diamond Plate configuration associated with its 1990s rise.

MESA/Boogie has brought the 90s Triple Rectifier Standard Head back to its catalog, restoring the more familiar Standard dress configuration of one of the defining high-gain amplifiers of the 1990s. The September 15 announcement describes the black chassis, chrome Speed knobs and aluminum-look Diamond Plate face that became inseparable from the Rectifier image.
The reissue is a 150-watt, two-channel tube head with six 6L6 power tubes and switchable tube or silicon-diode rectification. The design retains the layered harmonics, tight low end and percussive midrange response that made the Triple Rectifier a reference point for generations of heavy guitar tones.
This is more than a cosmetic revival: the Standard configuration puts a historically important version of the Rectifier back into current production rather than leaving players to chase increasingly expensive originals.
Why it matters
The Triple Rectifier helped define modern high-gain guitar sound. Returning the recognizable 1990s Standard configuration gives players a current-production route into an amp architecture with unusually large influence on rock and metal.
